WILMINGTON, MA — 42 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, September 26. Here are NINE highlights:
- A caller reported a woman laying on the side of the roadway on Burlington Avenue. Police located the woman, who was intoxicated, and transported her back home. Her daughter took responsibility for her. (1:47am)
- A caller reported a man sleeping in a black SUV in the back right-hand corner of the High School parking lot. Police sent the man on his way. (7:44am)
- A Fairmeadow Road caller reported a chair was dumped onto his property sometime overnight. Police notified DPW. (8:21am)
- A Ring Avenue resident reported a white pickup truck just dumped a load of construction debris in his yard and drove towards Salem Street. A neighbor reported that the debris may be part of the Town’s Annual Cleanup Day, and will check back later. (9:26am)
- Police assisted the Woburn Police in looking for a man who possibly exposed himself to a woman on Presidential Way in Woburn. Man was described as white, early 20’s, gray Patriots t-shirt, blue nylon pants. Police checked the area, spoke with several businesses in the area, and found no one matching the description. (9:31am)
- A caller reported a road rage incident in the parking lot of Woodbriar Nursing Home. The other involved party walked in the building and threatened the caller. Police spoke with both parties and restored the peace. (10:50am)
- A Woburn Street caller reported a very young child was wondering on the side of hte roadway. She checked the neighborhood houses but none of the residents recognized the child. Police was able to reunite the child with the parent. (12:27pm)
- Police assisted the Fire Department with a barrel fire at Heffron Materials on Salem Street. (6:06pm)
- A Chestnut Street caller reported she received a suspicious email requesting she “Western Union” money to a party named Rajesh Kumar. The email stated the pick up point would be the Rite Aid in Wilmington or the Stop & Shop in North Reading. Caller wanted the incident logged. (7:14pm)
