POLICE LOG from September 25: Elderly Driver Causes Scare; Screams From The Woods

WILMINGTON, MA — 68 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, September 25.  Here are EIGHT highlights:

  • Police observed a red 2007 Dodge Charger pulling out of Al Prime on Main Street and into the wrong lane, opposing traffic. Police checked on the well-being of the elderly driveway, who was sent on his way. (11:10am)
  • A New Hampshire Road caller took in a loose Beagle with tags from Weymouth. Wilmington Police contacted Weymouth Police, who were unable to make contact with the dog’s owner. A note was left the owner’s residence in Weymouth. Caller planned to hang on to the dog for the time being. (12:06pm)
  • Staff at Uptown Deli gave police unmarked medication and prescription bottles that were left in their store. (12:32pm)
  • A black 2008 Acura TL struck a tree pulling out of the Heav’nly Donuts parking lot on Main Street. (3:02pm)
  • Walk-in reported his gray 2013 Chevy Silverado was damaged some time yesterday while parked at Pizza Mia on Middesex Avenue. (5:47pm)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported she arrived home and a small gray car occupied by two white males wearing plaid hats slowed down in front of her house and drove away she pulled into the driveway. She wanted the incident logged. (4:11pm)
  • A Stone Street resident reported what sounded like a female screaming in the woods behind his home. He saw 2 male youths exit the woods on foot street towards Washington Street. Police were unable to locate anyone. (7:32pm)
  • Owner of E-Systems on Ballardvale Street requested extra patrols throughout the night, noticing several vehicle entering the lot and hanging out in random spots. (8:19pm)
