Wilmington Rec Has Openings For Adult Dance Lessons, Yoga For ‘Full-Figured’ Women & More!

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department wants residents to know that there are still openings for the programs below!  Registration information can be found HERE.

Topsfield Fair Tickets (Available for sale until 3 p.m. on October 5)
Tickets valid Friday, October 2 – Monday, October 12
Admission tickets: $9 (ages 8 & up). Save up to $6 per ticket.
Ride Tickets: $24 for 10 rides. A 50% savings!

Intro to Volleyball
Instructor: Katie Lulsdorf
Dates: Tuesdays, October 13 – November 17, 6 Weeks
Time: Grades 2 & 3: 6 – 6:50 p.m. AND Grades 4 & 5: 7 – 7:50 p.m.
Location: Woburn Street Gym
Cost: $37
This new introductory program will teach the basics of this life-long sport using modified equipment as well as standard volleyballs.  Students will develop skills and play mini-games.

Cardio Boot Camp
Instructors: Pattie Fitzgerald & Dottie Larffarello
Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, October 19 – December 16, 8 Weeks (No 11/11 or 11/25)
Time: 7 – 8 p.m.
Location: Woburn Street School
Cost: $71
Move through stations to achieve a head to toe workout!  Exercise at your own pace under the guidance of a seasoned instructor.

Adult Dance Lessons
Location: Lorraine Spada School of Dance at 52 Main Street, Suite #3
Cost: $52 for each 6-week session
Tap: Thursdays, October 15 – November 19, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Ballet:  Mondays, October 19 – November 23, 7 – 8 p.m.
These six-week courses are perfect for beginners or returning students.  Fun, exercise and a new skill all wrapped up in each class!   Tap or ballet shoes are required.

Yoga for the Full-Figured Woman
Instructor: Jennifer Ryan
Location: The Yoga Loft, 3 Lopez Road
Cost: $83 per 8-week session
Dates: Thursdays, October 1 – November 19, 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. or
Mondays, October 5 – November 30, 4 – 5 p.m. (No 10/12)
This is an introduction to Yoga in a fun and relaxed setting.  Movements are modified for a non-intimidating approach to improving your health.  Take a class as a gift to yourself!

Wilmington Recreation is going online!
Starting August 28, you will be able to register online for any of our Children and Adult programs or classes (except SNL Flag Football and 35+ Basketball for September.)  Soon we will be able to offer online registration for other offerings such as tickets and trips! You can now securely register your entire family at one time from the comfort of your home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can create your CommunityPass account NOW by clicking on the CommunityPass link from the Wilmington Recreation page on the Town website (www.wilmingtonma.gov) or go directly to https://register.communitypass.net/TownofWilmingtonMA  Once your account is created, you will receive an email that contains your login information (account ID and password).
