POLICE LOG from September 23: Public Intoxication x 2; Teen From Group Home Goes Missing

WILMINGTON, MA — 85 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, September 23.  Here are THIRTEEN highlights:

  • An intoxicated man was reported in the Cumberland Farm parking lot. Police transported him home. (12:07am)
  • A gray 2014 Mazda Grand Tourin, gray 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, and brown 2005 Honda Pilot were involved in a minor crash at Lowell Street and Parker Street. No injuries. One car was towed. (7;13am)
  • A black 2013 Nissa Altima, black 2007 Toyota Camry, and 2009 Nissan Murano were involved in a crash on the I93 Northbound Ramp at Exit 41. No injuries. (8:24am)
  • An employee of Aramark Refreshment Services on Ballardvale Street spoke to an officer regarding concerning notes left by a co-worker. The employee was eventually located at his apartment and checked out OK.(8:46am)
  • A blue 2002 Toyota Camry and gray 2007 Toyota RAV4 were involved in a minor car crash on the I93 Northbound Ramp at Exit 38. No injuries reported. (11:06am)
  • A construction truck took down wire on McDonald Road. Wire was hanging over the roadway, causing a hazard. Police contacted Comcast. (1:06pm)
  • A caller from the Milestone Group Home on High Street reported a teen missing since after being dropped off a meeting at 9am today. When they went to him up at 1pm, he did not come out and the meeting location stated he was not there today. Police advised the employee to come to the station to file a missing persons report. The teen returned prior to the employee coming down to the station. (2:07pm)
  • An Evans Drive caller reported their neighbor was riding a motorcycle or dirt bike on their property. Police investigated and did not find any such behavior. (2:09pm)
  • A caller reported her vehicle and a co-workers vehicle were keyed in the parking lot of their place of employment on Ballardvale Street yesterday. (3:18pm)
  • A Lawrence Street caller reported she was almost struck by a speeding vehicle when she walked out to get her mail due to the curve in the road. She requested extra patrols for speed in the area. (3:42pm)
  • Reports of kids on moped and scooters pulling kids on roller blades on Hopkins Street and Shawsheen Avenue. Police were unable to locate. (3:43pm)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported receiving four IRS scam calls recently. (6:34pm)
  • A man, possibly in his 50’s, appeared intoxicated on Main Street and stated he was looking for a hospital. Fire Department transported him to a hospital. (9:21pm)
