Michael Thomas Gilman, age 35, of Wilmington, formerly of Reading, passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2015.
Michael was the beloved husband of Maureen M. (Hannon) Gilman, devoted father of James T. Gilman and Matthew J. Gilman all of Wilmington, cherished son of William and Margaret (Yahoub) Alley of Reading, dear brother of Nathaniel Alley of North Reading and the late Sonia Jaena, loving grandson of the late Ernest and Victoria Yahoub. Michael is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, September 29th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Wood End Cemetery, Reading. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 28th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Michael proudly served in the U.S. Army with deployment in Iraq as a Combat Medic with the 2BCT 502 Infantry Regiment earning many medals including the Army Commendation Medal with V Device as well as the Combat Medical Badge.
