WILMINGTON, MA — Are you ready to rock?
Wilmington’s 2015 Battle of the Bands will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 7pm to 10pm, in the Wilmington High School Auditorium. The event is presented by the Wilmington High School Choral and Theatre Support Group (WHS CATS).
Interested bands must submit their applications by Monday, October 5. All bands members must be under the age of 21 and have at least one member who is a Wilmington resident currently attending any high school, including WHS, Shawsheen Tech, Austin Prep, or any private school. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three bands. For additional rules and to submit an Application, visit the CATS’s website at http://www.wilmingtoncats.org.
The general public is invited to the event. Tickets cost $10 at the door. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the W.H.S. CATS Scholarship and supplemental productions and materials fund.
According to the group’s website, “C.A.T.S. is a parent run organization providing on-going support for the Wilmington High School Choral and Theatre groups. Our mission is to provide annual scholarship opportunities for college and military bound Wilmington High School students and to provide supplementary funding for the purchase of production equipment and materials.”
