1st Annual Tony Alonardo 5K Set For October 11

WILMINGTON, MA — On Wednesday, April 22, Wilmington resident Anthony “Tony” Alonardo passed away. By all accounts, he was a wonderful father & husband, and very active in the community, volunteering with Wilmington Youth Hockey, Wilmington Knights of Columbus, and St. Dorothy’s Parish.

Several of his friends have come together to organize a 5K run/walk to remember Tony and to help his family.

The 1st Annual Tony A 5K will be held on Sunday, October 11. Registration begins at 7:30am at the Wilmington Fourth of July Building. The race begins at 9am in front of Wilmington High School. Registration costs $35. The first 100 registrants receive a free race t-shirt.

Want to participate in the 5K, either as a runner or walker? Register for the 5K HERE.

Want to just make a donation? Donate to the event’s GoFundMe Page HERE. Donations will help offset college expenses for Tony’s two children — Sara and Michelle — and also establish an ongoing scholarship to help others in Tony and his family’s name.
