Did you know the Ipswich River begins in Wilmington as a series of small streams and wetlands?
IPSWICH, MA — Calling all River Artists! The 29th Annual Art Show and Illumination will be held Oct 23 – 25th. This weekend long event showcases works by Ipswich Artists using many mediums including sculpture, painting, photography, textiles, jewelry, wood art and pottery. This is a non-juried show with cash prizes and is open to Ipswich residents over 17 years old and Town of Ipswich employees.
This year we would like to celebrate and highlight the Ipswich River through a special exhibit at the Art Show. We are looking for local artists who might be interested in sharing pieces for which the river was the inspiration.
For many of us in this seaside town the nearest and most often regarded water view is of our river. The river is important to us in many ways. We kayak, canoe and fish on the river, and we also enjoy walking along its banks and bridges. It refreshes our spirits and provides inspiration. Please help us share the river’s beauty and contribution to our local community.
Registration forms for the Art Show are available at Ipswich Public Library and Ipswich Photo/Zenobia located at Bruni’s Marketplace (near Lahey Clinic), 38 Essex Road or online. Please just add a note at the top of the registration form that you would like your art to be part of the Ipswich River Special Exhibit.
Registration deadline: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th
Please call Michael at 978.356.7972 with general questions. If you have any issues with the online registration process, email Marianne Cellucci at info@ipswicharts.com.
