POLICE LOG for September 12: 18 MORE Cars Entered Overnight; Counterfeit Money At Target

WILMINGTON, MA — 36 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, September 12.  Here are SIX highlights:

  • 17 vehicles on Biggar Avenue were entered overnight. Some vehicles were burglarized (e.g., bags of change, iPod Nano, etc.), others were just entered with nothing taken. A Robin Road resident reported hearing a moped during the middle of the night. (7:42am)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported his green 2000 Toyota Tundra was broken into overnight, with its dashboard damaged and ignition tampered with. (8:31pm)
  • A Ferbank Road caller reported her mailbox and granite post were spray painted sometime last night. (3:50pm)
  • A Shady Lane caller reported that due to construction on Glen Road, cars are cutting through Shady Lane and Lawrence Street while traveling a high rate of speed. Caller requested extra patrols in the area. (4:00pm)
  • Loss prevention officer at Target reported they had a man purchase approximately $900 of items with counterfeit money. (6:41pm)
  • Police called over dispute between couple who had just broken up. Man was attempting to retrieve engagement ring when a verbal argument occurred. (11:09pm)
