Police Log for September 9: LOCK YOUR CARS! 8 Cars On 5 Streets Entered Overnight

WILMINGTON, MA — 97 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, September 9.  Here are ELEVEN highlights:

  • Operator of green 2003 Subaru Legacy was given a verbal warning for a handicap parking violation. The vehicle was parked horizontally across all three handicap spaces in the CVS parking lot. (3:37am)
  • An Arlene Avenue caller reported his/her unlocked car was entered overnight — items were removed and thrown across the street. Some change was taken. (6:32am)
  • A Burt Road caller reported the back window of his gray 2003 Kia Spectra was smashed out. (6:34am)
  • A Dorothy Avenue caller reported their two unlocked vehicles were entered overnight. GPS and loose change were taken. (7:36am)
  • A Catherine Avenue caller reported their unlocked black 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee was entered overnight. (9:03am)
  • A Barbara Avenue caller reported their unlocked gray 2006 Buick Lacrosse was entered overnight. (9:07am)
  • A Dorothy Avenue caller reported their unlocked black 2015 Chevy Silverado was entered overnight. (9:41am)
  • Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Marion Street. (11:53am)
  • A Valyn Lane caller reported their two unlocked vehicles were entered overnight. (12:19pm)
  • A Blue Jay Court resident reported someone possibly tried to get into his house. He noticed the AC was pushed in and baseball items on his porch were misplaced and gone through. Police confirmed it was an attempted B&E, as well as larceny of an item off of the porch. (9:12pm)
  • A Loumac Road resident reported he believed his neighbors are intentionally shining a flood light at his house. (9:27pm)
