POLICE LOG from September 5: Bad Neighbors Edition — Fireworks, Barking Dogs & Loud Parties

WILMINGTON, MA — 58 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, September 5.  Here are NINE highlights:

  • A water truck from the Water Department had a smashed windshield. (6:57am)
  • A Catherine Avenue caller reported their ATM card compromised. Bank was notified and card was cancelled. Police requested the resident file a report with them. (10:13am)
  • Report of a group of kids hanging on the fence on the overpass on Nichols Street. Kids were gone by the time police arrived. Witness said the kids went over the Shawseen River and into Billerica. (4:01pm)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported that his neighbors were setting off very loud fireworks. Police confirmed fireworks, but were unable to locate exact origin, possibly on Brentwood Avenue. (7:53pm)
  • A Chapman Avenue caller reported a large group of teens were walking up and down the street, looking like they were “up to no good.” Police found two groups of kids on the street. Both checked OK. (8:25pm)
  • A possibly intoicated man was reported leaning against the sign at Jimmy’s Garage on Main Street. Fire Department transported the man. (8:28pm)
  • A Lloyd Road caller complained about a dog who had been parking in the neighborhood for the past four hours. (9:17pm)
  • A Middlesex Avenue caller reported her car was keyed sometime this evening. (10:03pm)
  • Police spoke with the owner of a Dartmouth Avenue home who was throwing a loud party.  Owner agreed to stop karaoke for the night. (11:03pm)
