WILMINGTON, MA — 101 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, September 2. Here are NINE highlights:
- Burglary alarm went off at Red Heat Tavern. Police checked the building, which was secure. (4:18am). Later in the day, the restaurant asked for extra patrols overnight. (11:36pm)
- A caller reported her son was approached yesterday by a stranger who offered him a ride at the bus stop at Allen Park Drive & Sheldon Avenue. Stranger was reportedly a man in a sedan. No description of the man was given. (7:15am)
- An Oakdale Road caller reported she has received several automated messages from someone claiming to be from the IRS. No personal information was exchanged with the scammers. She wanted the incident logged. (9:10am)
- An employee at Express Movers on Waltham Street reported two trucks were broken into overnight. (10:07am)
- A Jordan Street caller reported a very thin coyote was in his yard. Coyote left the area before the Animal Control Officer arrived. (3:15pm)
- A Kenwood Avenue caller found a canary flying around on her property. She was able to catch it and has it in a cage. Police left a message for the Animal Control Officer. (5:16pm
- James W. Holden (31, Wilmington) was arrested for possession of Class B drugs and trespassing. (7:06pm)
- A Baker Street caller reported that his vehicle was keyed overnight. (8:14pm)
- Milestone Group Home on High Street reported that two juveniles did not return to the home. (8:26pm)
