Several Wilmington teams competed in the 25th Annual North Reading Fall Kick-Off Classic Soccer Tournament. The tournament took place over Labor Day weekend — Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 — at three North Reading venues — Maguire Field, Ipswich River Park and North Reading High School.
Congratulations to Wilmington’s BU14-1 team for winning the tournament! Wilmington finished with three wins and no losses, defeating Peabody United (3-0), North Reading Vipers (5-0), and North Reading Arsenal (1-0).

The GU14 Wilmington Wildcats took part in the 25th annual Fall Kickoff Classic in North Reading over Labor Day weekend. The Wildcats finished the tournament with a record of 4-0-1 including a 2-1 win over Kennebunk in the finals to win the championship. On their way to the championship they had wins over North Andover, Billerica, North Reading and a 0-0 tie against Kennebunk.
The hallmark of the Wildcats success was predicated on their solid defensive play in combination with stellar goalkeeping. The Wildcats only allowed 1 goal while scoring 11 over the course of their five games. Congratulations to the Wildcat players!


Congratulations to Wilmington’s BU9-2 team for receiving the tournament’s Sportsmanship Award.
