WILMINGTON, MA — 72 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Saturday, August 29. Here are EIGHT highlights:
- An Agostino Drive caller reported a man rang his doorbell and asked to use his phone. The man stated he got off the train at the wrong stop. The caller did not let him in and asked him to leave. The man stated he was heading to North Reading. Police located the man, who was eventually picked up by his wife. (3:05am)
- Caller reported the street sign post at Lowell Street and Woodland Street was knocked down overnight. Police believed it was purposely pulled out of the ground. Police contacted DPW. (9:20am)
- A caller reported a possible break-in at their mother’s house on Manning Street. Police responded. Nothing was found missing from the house. A window was broken, possibly by a company that had recently visited the house. (10:20am)
- Officer Palmer and K9 Ridic conducted a demonstration at The Barkery in Tewksbury. (2:14pm)
- A caller expressed concern regarding panhandlers in the Market Basket area. Caller may visit the station to follow-up. (2:18pm)
- A caller reported finding a syringe on the ground between their driveway and the roadway on Main Street. Police retrieved the syringe for disposal. (2:35pm)
- A Forest Street resident complained about his neighbor’s barking dog, which has been an ongoing issue. As reported, police found the dog in the yard barking with no one home. (8:46pm)
- A beige 2013 Toyota Sienna struck a guardrail prior to Exit 40 on I-93 South. Fire and Police responded. No injuries noted. State Police was notified. (10:41pm)
