WILMINGTON, MA — 94 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Tuesday, August 25. Here are EIGHT highlights:
- An Aldrich Road man reported his credit card has been compromised. (10:27am). A Shady Lane Drive man later reported a credit card was opened in his name illegally. (11:09am)
- A minor motor vehicle crash occurred between a gray 2005 Cadillac CTS Sedan and a red 2012 Ford F550 Pumper on Lowell Street. No injuries reported. (1:01pm)
- A tree was resting on a secondary line between Square One Mall on Lowell Street and Kiernan Avenue. Police notified Reading Light. (1:25pm)
- Mass Department of Transportation notified Wilmington Police that the railroad bridge on Main Street has a 2ft.x3ft. hole in it, creating a hazard as someone could fall through it. Police placed a barrel into the roadaway to guide vehicles away from it. MassDOT reviewed the hole further, put more cones around it, and will address it in the morning. (5:15pm)
- Police was flagged down regarding a dog locked in a vehicle with the windows up in the Lucci’s Supermarket Plaza parking lot. The owner of the vehicle came out after four minutes and was advised. (6:13pm)
- A walk-in party reported 3-4 teens threw an apple at him from a vehicle, striking him while he was riding his bike in Woburn on Chestnut Street. Police advised him to contact the Woburn Police. (6:55pm)
- A caller reported a group of kids on bicycles were riding in front of vehicles in front of Market Basket. When police checked the area, they did not locate any kids. (7:12pm)
- A blue 1999 Dodge Durango struck a stone wall on Shawsheen Avenue. Both airbags deployed and substantial damage was noted. Cains towing was notified. Driver left the scene before police arrived. Police located man on Cedar Street by tracking cell phone. Police issued the driver a summons for leaving the scene of property damage (10:48pm)
