Margaret A. “Peggy” Stewart (Peters), age 77, of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on August 30, 2015. Margaret was the beloved wife of George L. Stewart, devoted mother of Tracey Costello & her husband Joe of Wilmington, Michelle Haley & her husband David and Joanne Lucas all of Tewksbury, Elizabeth Sullivan & her husband David and Kathleen Carroll & her husband Kenneth all of Wilmington. Loving Grandmother of Joey, Allyson & her fiancé Rich, and Matthew Costello, Brittany & her fiancé Mike, Kimberly & her fiancé Ed, Briana, and Christopher Haley, Samantha, Bradley & his fiancé Jen, Ryan, and Keith Lucas, James, Patrick, and Margaret “Maggie” Carroll, and Great-Grandchildren Cali, Hailey, and Corey. Cherished daughter of the late John and Joanna (McIntyre) Peters, dear sister of Reginald Peters & his wife Ada of P.E.I. Canada, James Peters & his wife Noreen of Florida, and the late Joseph McIntyre. Sister-in-law of Catherine Gillis of Abington, the late Sadie Gale and Ellie McNevin. Margaret is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, September 3rd at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2nd from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
