POLICE LOG for August 23: Uber Driver & Resident Dispute Fare; Fireworks on Rollins Road

WILMINGTON, MA — 44 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, August 23.  Here are SIX highlights:

  • An Uber drive was having a dispute with a Gorham Street resident over a fare. Police restored the police. (2:14am)
  • A caller reported that someone had checked in on her company’s Facebook page with a note threatening to harm himself. Police checked the Industrial Way business and was unable to locate anyone. (7:09am)
  • An employee at the Dunkin Donuts on Ballardvalle Street found pills inside the store and requested they’d be disposed of. Police retrieved them to return to the station for destruction. (4:36pm)
  • A Rollins Road resident reported that around 10pm every night, a neighbor about 4 to 5 houses away sets off fireworks.  This seems to be happening every night. Resident requested extra patrols in this area abound this time. (8:06pm)
  • Soccer storage shed at Shawsheen School was found with an open back door.  Appeared to be an oversight by volunteers. (10:14pm)
  • A caller reported a white man dressed in all black was standing in the middle of Jacquith Road playing a guitar. Man was gone by the time police arrived. (11:36pm)
