PHOTO OF THE DAY: WHS Seniors Make A THRILLING Band Camp Entrance

Members of the Wilmington High School Marching Band departed for Band Camp on Sunday morning.

Before loading and boarding the bus for Bear Island on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, New Hampshire, one piece of band camp tradition needed to be carried on — a memorable entrance by the band’s seniors.

Below is a video of the entrance taken by a parent and shared with permission:

The parent wrote:

“For those who may be unfamiliar with the tradition, the senior entrance to band camp happens every year. A theme is picked out by the seniors themselves, and is always kept a secret so its a surprise. They had meetings to discuss their plans, learned the choreography on their own as well as the song, and they made their own costumes. I thought they did a great job and I’m so proud of them.”
