Dear Editor,
A little over a year ago, we ran an article [in the Wilmington Town Crier] looking for former members of the Wilmington Crusaders and Wilmington Swordsmen. The same article was posted to the Wilmington Crusaders Facebook page, (yes, we have a page). As a result of the article, our distribution list is growing and I’m happy to say that former members from Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Washington (the state), California, Maryland, Texas, Nevada and New York have been in touch and given their e-mail addresses! A few have even called!
The second informal gathering was bigger than the first and I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank the owners of the Fireside in Methuen for allowing us to take over their dining area and grateful they just happen to be former members of the Crusaders.
But we are still missing many former members. Maybe you saw the article and you’re thinking I only marched one year no one would remember me. Well, guess what… we’ve heard that one already… and I can tell you, you’re wrong!!! Isn’t there someone you’ve wondered about? We may have heard from them OR maybe you’re the person one someone else is wondering about. How about that? Wouldn’t you love to reconnect?
