Wilmington High School Seeks Full-Time Guidance Counselor

Job Description

  • Conducts scheduling meetings with all assigned students
  • Assists and proctors MCAS and AP testing
  • Using Aspen, checks students’ progress, attendance, discipline, etc.
  • Attends evening events sponsored by the Guidance Department such as junior class college information night and senior class financial aid night.
  • Is familiar with Naviance, assists students with the college application process
  • Manages communication with students, parents, and teachers to support student success
  • Assists with graduation activities including senior sign-out and credit verification

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in School Counseling preferred
  • Three to five years working in a secondary school setting preferred.
  • Experience with Naviance required

START DATE: August 31, 2015

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Master degree preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
