POLICE LOG for August 6: Neighbor Calls Cops On Peeing Neighbor; Knife Involved In Road Rage Incident

WILMINGTON, MA — 70 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, August 6.  Here are SIX highlights:

  • A vehicle struck three mailboxes on Jordan Street. A witness passed along the license plate of the likely culprit to the police. The driver likely lives in Salem. (12:30am)
  • Police checked on a person sleeping behind the dumpster behind Sleepy’s on Main Street. (1:31am)
  • Two 25-foot lengths of chain used to block the entrance and exit to the parking lot at Kingdom Hall on Bridge Lane were reported stolen. Owners requested extra patrols in the overnight hours. (12:39pm)
  • A party reported a mountain bike was stolen from his Main Street residence. He last saw it on August 1. (2:07pm)
  • An anonymous driver reported he was involved in a road rage incident in front of Cooke’s Skate Shop and was being followed by a gray 2006 Ford F150 with an operator who brandished a knife. Police caught up with the alleged knife-brandishing driver, who admitted a knife fell out of his backpack when he had to slam on his brakes, but he did not pick it up in an aggressive manner. (6:29pm)
  • A Blackstone Street resident reported his neighbor was urinating on his property line fence. Police spoke with the neighbor, who denied the allegation and discussed having ‘ongoing issues’ with his neighbor.  Police offered to “keep the peace” if the two wanted to talk, but the caller declined. Caller was advised any further issues could be handled in civil court. (6:45pm)
