WILMINGTON, MA — 65 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Monday, August 3. Here are TEN highlights:
- Police issued a summons for Kendel Carmichael Chentlen (26, Herndon, Virginia) for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a motor vehicle lights violation. (2:04am)
- A caller reported a hit and run accident on Lowell Street. Vehicle was traveling towards Woburn Street and was described as a small black sedan. Police found the vehicle in the driveway of 226 Lowell Street. Police issued a citation to the driver for marked lane violation. Drivers exchanged paperwork. (5:02am)
- A Lawrence Street caller reported her mailbox was vandalized overnight. (8:06am)
- A dog was left in a parked black 1999 Ford Expedition at the Registry of Motor Vehicles parking lot. Windows were down upon the officer’s arrival. Owner was advised. Police noted the plates to the vehicle were revoked. Police confiscated the plates. Owner arranged to have his car towed. (12:09pm)
- Lifeguard reported a man in a red sedan come to the Town Beach parking lot daily and appears to just be watching people on the beach. Police spoke with the man, who checked out OK. (12:18pm)
- A brush/mulch fire was reported at Cavanaugh & Son Funeral Home on Main Street. The Fire Department handled. (1:28pm)
- A Fairfield Road resident reported their large blue recycling barrel was stolen. Police notified DPW. (3:24pm)
- A walk-in party from Pouliot Place reported her brother was missing. He last texted on July 4th. She stated he was in New Bedford. He has not contacted any family members since. She is concerned for his well-being. (4:32pm)
- Corey Brennan (37, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant (dissuading a witness). (5:00pm)
- A white 2008 Hyundai Sonata and a red 2009 Honda CBR600 Motorcycle were involved in a crash in front of Burger King on Lowell Street. Motorcyclist was injured and transported to Mass General Hospital. Others involved in the crash refused medical treatment. (11:11pm)
