WILMINGTON, MA – The Wilmington Police Department provided the following message on its Facebook page this morning regarding its National Night Out event at Rotary Park this Tuesday, August 4:
“With only a chance of a thunderstorm, it looks like we are going to be all set for National Night Out tomorrow! The event begins at 6pm. Here’s what we have planned:
- Police & Fire vehicle & equipment displays
- K-9 demonstration
- U.S. Customs and Border Protection demonstrations
- Massachusetts State Police Mounted Unit
- A visit from the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing helicopter
- Veterans Affairs Police Department
- Smoke house for the kids to go through
- Dunk-A-Cop (for a small donation to Cops For Kids With Cancer)
- Food from Red Heat Tavern
- Ice Cream
- Bicycle raffle from Target
- Music from DJ Jack Stavro
- Inflatable Obstacle Courses, balloons, and more!
At approximately 8pm, we will close down the displays and will be showing “Mall Cop 2″ on an inflatable screen, so bring something to sit on. We’ll provide the popcorn!”
