5 Things To Do Today In Wilmington (August 3, 2015)

Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Monday, August 3, 2015.

#1) Wilmington residents are encouraged to attend the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board Meeting at 7pm in the Dracut High Auditorium (1540 Lakeview Avenue). “The board will receive public comments regarding the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company’s proposed Northeast Energy Direct (“NED”) project that includes the Lynnfield Lateral. The project is currently being reviewed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The Mass Siting Board participates in FERC’s natural gas pipeline proceedings to represent the interests of the Commonwealth and its citizens. Many towns from Mass will be represented at this meeting and Wilmington residents are encouraged to attend.”

#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a program called “Captain America’s Sugar Rush” at 3pm. Do you have a sweet tooth? Join us in making a variety of delicious red, white and blue desserts that match Captain America’s costume! For Grades 3 and up. Learn more HERE.

#3) St. Thomas (126 Middlesex Avenue) is holding its monthly Bereavement and Grief Support Group meetings from 10am to 11am and 6pm to 7pm in the Parish Office’s first floor reception room. Contact the Church’s Social Worker Joanie Barclay (joan_barclay@ccab.org, 978-658-4665 x 108) with any questions.

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is running its usual Monday activities — Blood Pressure Clinic at 9:30am; Exercise Sessions at 9:45am and 11am; and Knitting/Crocheting at 11am.
