POLICE LOG for July 23: Lawrence Man Captured After Wild Car Chase, Faces 6 Charges

WILMINGTON, MA — 39 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, July 23.  Here are FIVE highlights:

  • Police issued a summons for Ashley Huard (20, Wilmington) for using her grandmother’s motor vehicle without permission. (2:37am)
  • Police arrested Angel Colon (50, Lawrence) for receiving stolen property valued at more than $250; failure to stop/yield; operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license; marked lanes violations; speeding; failure to stop for the police; and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Police pursued Colon from Concord Street, to Route 93 North, to Route 125, to Route 93 South, to Route 62 into North Reading. Vehicle crashed on Lowell Road in North Reading. Colon was captured after a foot pursuit. Police accompanied Colon to Lahey Clinic. (3:41am)
  • A minor motor vehicle crash occurred in the vicinity of Rite Aid on Main Street between a gray 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a green 2004 Lincoln SE. No injuries reported. (7:53am)
  • Garbage truck struck a branch on Linda Road and could not move. DPW and Tree Department arrived on scene to clear the branch. The garbage truck received no damage. (8:07am)
  • Owner of Lucci’s Supermarket reported receiving several strange calls from 978-401-7125. A man was on the phone just grunting. Police called the number twice. Man picked up both times, made grunting sounds, and hung up. (4:25pm)
