POLICE LOG for July 19: Homeless Man Sleeping Outside Bank, Graffiti Scare At Shawsheen School

WILMINGTON, MA — 52 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, July 19.  Here are FIVE highlights:

  • Police came upon a person trying to dump trash into the dumpster at the North Intermediate School on Salem Street. Police advised the person and sent them on their way. (12:46am)
  • A caller reported a man sleeping on the ATM platform outside the Citizen Bank on Main Street. Man was gone when police arrived, but witness said the man – possibly homeless – had gotten up and walked off. (8:20am)
  • A caller reported graffiti on the walls of the Shawsheen School, on the side facing the park. Police discovered it was actually chalk. Police took a few photos and then washed it off. (11:56am)
  • A caller reported his car was hit in the Market Basket parking lot at about 8:30am. There was no witnesses and the other car left the scene. Caller wanted the incident logged. (12:43pm)
  • A white pickup truck approached residents on Fairmeadow Road in regards to sealcoating their driveway. Police later located the truck and advised the men of the town’s bylaws, sending them on their way. (7:05pm)
