WILMINGTON, MA — 64 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, July 16. Here are SEVEN highlights:
- A Horseshoe Lane resident reported a hit and run to her vehicle sometime between midnight and 5am. (5:07am)
- A caller reported a white man in his mid-20’s was loitering in the Shawsheen School Playground. Police responded and had a conversation with four men, all of whom then left the area. (11:27am)
- Caller reported that railroad gates had been down for over 10 minutes on Woburn Street. A work crew was on scene. The gates were quickly back up. (12:01pm)
- A green 2009 Toyota Camry and a gray 2011 BMW were involved in a minor motor vehicle crash at Burlington Avenue and Chestnut Street. No injuries were reported. (4:57pm)
- Michael Denning (34, Peabody) was arrested for possession of a Class A drug. His employer requested an officer be present as they were terminating him for theft and drug use. (9:06pm)
- Dinarte M. Arsenio (48, Wilmington) was issued a summons for violating an abuse prevention order. (9:10pm)
- A Grace Drive resident came home to large amount of lacrosse equipment on their front steps. Caller is concerned someone left it at the wrong residence. (11:34pm)
