POLICE LOG for July 15: Coyote on Salem St; Dog Left In Car; Car Vandalized On Middlesex Ave

WILMINGTON, MA — 89 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, July 15.  Here are NINE highlights:

  • A Bridge Lane caller reported a man was sleeping under the railroad trellis. Police investigated and found a homeless man, who said he was taking a nap. He was sent on his way. (5:59am)
  • The back window of a vehicle on Middlesex Avenue was smashed out during the night. (8:12am)
  • A deceased deer was found in the road on Blanchard Road. (10:10am)
  • A Salem Street resident reported that a coyote was currently in his yard and wants to speak with the Animal Control Officer. (10:37am)
  • A caller from the Shawsheen School reported a group of 3-4 kids were harassing some of the kids in the rec program and broke an iPad. (12:06pm)
  • A summons was issued for Jose Ruiz (34, Waltham) for operating a motor vehicle without a license and marked lane violations. (2:11pm)
  • A dog was left attended in a 2007 Ford Focus on Main Street for approximately 15 minutes. Dog appeared OK. Animal Control Officer will follow up. (4:45pm)
  • A summons was issued for Matthew Jordan (31, Londonderry, NH) for operating a motor vehicle without a license and speeding. (5:04pm)
  • Dinarte Arsenio (48, Wilmington) was arrested for violating a restraining order. (11:03am)
