POLICE LOG for July 8: Man Loses $3,000 In Cash; Coyote Spotted; Cemetery Theft

WILMINGTON, MA — Approximately 90 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Wednesday, July 8.  Here are SEVEN highlights:

  • A caller reported 2 men and 2 women hopped the fence and are in the pool area of Avalon Oaks West, appearing to be consuming alcohol. Police sent the individuals on their way and will follow up with management regarding a ‘no trespass’ order. (3:53am)
  • A caller reported a sink hole on Park Street. Police confirmed and contacted DPW. (7:01am)
  • A resident reported silk flowers were taken from a family member’s gravesite on Kilmarnock Street in the Wildwood Cemetery. (1:03pm)
  • A dump truck got stuck in overhead wires on Ballardvale Street. (2:25pm)
  • A Webber Street resident reported an injured coyote had been in her yard all day and cannot walk. Police responded and coyote ran off when approached. (4:33pm)
  • Police assisted the Fire Department with a house fire on South Street. (6:05pm)
  • A man reported losing an envelope containing $3,000 in cash at Panera Bread on Main Street. (7:14pm)
