WILMINGTON, MA — Approximately 75 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Tuesday, July 7. Here are SEVEN highlights:
- A Douglas Avenue caller reported baby ducks were in her pool. Police referred her to an organization called “Wingmasters.” (8:29am)
- Thomas Townsend (19, Wilmington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and no insurance. Car was pulled over for not having a license plate. (10:25am)
- A Chestnut Street caller reported her green and blue town barrels were delivered on Saturday by the DPW. The family went away for the weekend and, upon return home, found them missing. (10:59am)
- Transit police called to report that a man was on the tracks near Kilmarnock Street threatening to commit suicide. A train stopped. The man’s uncle was chasing him on the tracks. Officers got both men off the tracks on Woburn Street. (12:02pm)
- Michael Smith (40, Billerica) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, speeding and the unsafe operation of a motor vehicle. A hypodermic needle was also found in the backseat. (1:17pm)
- Larisha Kemp (28, Dorchester) was arrested for uttering a false check. The attempt took place at Lowell Five Bank on Main Street. (2:14pm)
- A mother reported her daughter physically assaulted her, took her money, and left on foot. Mother said daughter was highly intoxicated. Police located daughter and transported her back to the station. (10:33pm)
