QUESTION OF THE DAY: Who Is Stealing From Wildwood Cemetery?

Here is Wilmington Apple’s Question of the Day for July 7: Who is stealing from Wildwood Cemetery?

• Someone (or someones) is stealing items from gravestones in the Wildwood Cemetery. Wildwood, like most public cemeteries, experience theft, but the issue is getting extra attention thanks to a grassroots group called “The Wildwood Warriors.”
• The Warriors are working with a private governmental security company and the Wilmington Police Department to put an end to the theft. Read today’s featured story on the group HERE.
• While the extent of the theft is unknown, the Wilmington Police Department acknowledges it exists.
• Who do YOU think is the culprit? A drug addict? A misbehaving teen? A seedy businessperson? An individual who does it “for the thrill?” Or are many of the missing items simply a result of the wind or cemetery workers moving them while mowing?
