Dolores L. Marshall, age 89, of Reading, formerly of Wilmington, died June 30, 2015, at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late John R. Marshall M.D. with whom she had shared over sixty years of marriage.
Born in Jewell, Iowa and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska; she was the daughter of the late Casper and Lela (Millett) Sherman. Dolores was a 1949 graduate of Boston University School of Nursing. She later served as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Hospital in Boston, Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and the University of Denver Hospital in Colorado.
Dolores was a resident of Wilmington for many years. She was a former board member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading and chapter president of the League of Women Voters of Wilmington.
She is survived by her three children, Katrina Ferrari of Wilmington, Jeffrey Marshall & his wife Kristen of Reading and Eric Marshall & his wife Jennifer of Byfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chantel and Jessica Ferrari, Elsa and Sara Marshall and Leah and Thomas Marshall and great grandchildren Damien Bizarria and Lucus Donaruma.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading at a date to be announced. Memorial tributes may be sent to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, 689 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, MA 02139-3302.
