WILMINGTON, MA — 31 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, June 28. Here are TEN highlights:
- The State Police reported a 1-car crash in the breakdown lane prior to Exit 39 on I-93 North. State Police handled. (1:38am)
- Employee at CVS on Main Street reported a man and woman were shoplifting in the cosmetics section. Police investigated. Police delivered no trespass orders from CVS to couple and all items returned to the store. (2:23am)
- A Evans Drive caller reported her black Australian Shepherd/Boxer dog got out of the house overnight. Resident on Hathaway Road located the dog and brought it back to owner. (9:46am)
- Tree branches were reported down on Patches Pond Lane, blocking the sidewalk and part of the roadway. DPW notified. (11:42am)
- Reading Municipal Light Department reported that a tree had fallen on Verdun Road and snapped a pole in half. RMLD requested the police contact DPW to remove branches. (12:17pm)
- Train crossing gates were stuck in the down position at the intersection of Middlesex Avenue and Main Street. Commuter rail employee eventually fixed gates. (1:05pm)
- A tree was reported down in the roadway on Andover Street. DPW notified. (2:54pm)
- K9 Ridic was receiving some training on Upton Drive. (7:14pm)
- A black 2012 Ford Fusion spun out and struck a guardrail on Route 125. Car needed to be towed. Unknown injuries. (8:04pm)
- A blue 2012 Ford Fusion struck a pedestrian at a Dunkin Donuts on Main Street. Fire Department transported the pedestrian to Lahey Clinic. Extent of injuries unknown.
