WILMINGTON, MA — Approximately 60 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Friday, June 26. Here are SIXTEEN highlights:
- Police assisted with traffic during the “Touch A Truck Day” at Wilmington Memorial Library. (9:36am)
- A walk-in party reported her social security number had been compromised. (12:07pm)
- A white 2012 Chevy Express and a black 1996 Toyota Avalon were involved in a minor motor vehicle crash at Lowell Street and Woburn Street. No injuries reported. Police assisted with paperwork. (12:10pm)
- Corey M. Brennan (37, Wilmington) was arrested on warrants and transported to Woburn District Court. (1:02pm)
- A gray 2008 Kia Sporta and a blue 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo were involved in a motor vehicle crash at Shawsheen Avenue and Nichols Street. Possible injuries reported. (1:07pm)
- A Moore Street caller reported a telephone pole has fallen down and wires have gotten caught in a tree. Police noted the pole was “rotted out at the bottom.” RMLD traveled to the scene and contacted Comcast and Verizon. (1:58pm)
- A caller reported two women just left the Town Beach irate after being told non-residents had to pay. Caller did not get names or license plates, but wanted the incident logged and will call back if they return. (2:32pm)
- An off-duty Burlington Police officer reported an unattended motorcycle off to the side of the road on Hillside Way. Operator had lost control of the vehicle. No injuries reported. Operator’s father was on scene and putting the bike into a pick-up truck. (2:34pm)
- A Middlesex Avenue caller reported that a neighbor witnessed a woman take her trash barrel around 11:30am. (3:19pm)
- A Birchwood Road resident requested advice on removing a skunk from her property. (3:25pm)
- A North Street resident located a parakeet in her backyard with a tag. Animal Control Officer took bird and will foster it within 10 days. (3:38pm)
- Suspicious activity was noted at the Department of Public Works headquarters on Andover Street. Police was advised that UPS trucks will be delivering new trash and recycling barrels throughout town. (5:31pm)
- A Woburn Street caller reported a family of foxes was living behind his property. (5:34pm)
- An Ashwood Avenue resident reported fraudulent use of an ATM card. (6:08pm)
- Police assisted Reading Police with a 13 year-old “out of control” on Lowell Street in Reading. (10:34pm)
- A caller reported suspicious activity at the Reading Cooperative Baink on Lowell Street. The parking lot was coned off and two people were on property. Police investigated and it was just a line painting crew. (11:12pm)
