WILMINGTON, MA — We’re One Wilmington is holding an “Anything Drive” this Saturday, June 27 (9am-noon) and Sunday, June 28 (9am-noon) at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). You can donate pretty much “anything” and they’ll find a place for it! In the last weekend before the town’s trash collection changes go into effect, W.O.W. wants to help you move your gently used household items, equipment, baby items and clothing for all ages to families in need.
As noted in publicity from a previous Anything Drive, suggested donations include: gently used household items; children’s items; sports equipment; educational items; clothing (from baby to adult); electronics; food donations for the Wilmington Food Pantry; and Box Tops For Education for the schools. W.O.W. will distribute these items to Wilmington organizations and residents in need first, before sharing with other regional organizations that serve both Wilmington residents and non-residents.
Got a question about the drive? Know a family in need? Belong to a worthy organization and want to coordinate a drop-off? Contact W.O.W. by emailing drives@onewilmington.org.
