POLICE LOG for June 11: Police Respond To Dispute Over A Cup Of Coffee

WILMINGTON, MA — 49 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Thursday, June 11. Here are TEN highlights:

  • The portable toilet at the Woburn Street School was tipped over and leaning against the fence. (1:47am)
  • The sign for Rte. 38/Rte. 129 on the bridge on Burlington Avenue at Rte. 62 intersection has been turned around. (4:27am)
  • A minor motor vehicle crash occurred between a black 2010 Honda Accord and a white 2014 Chevy Express Van on Lowell Street. No injuries reported. (8:06am)
  • A minor motor vehicle crash occurred between a gray 2013 Jeep Wrangler and a gray 2009 Honda Pilot at Middlesex Avenue and North Street. No injuries reported. (11:19am)
  • A 2009 gray Nissan Rogue hit a tree on Main Street. No injuries noted. (2:23pm)
  • Residents on Shawsheen Avenue and Salem Street received scam phone calls from someone claiming to be from the IRS. (4:50pm, 4:53pm)
  • A vehicle got stuck on the rocks in front of the Senior Center. Caller was concerned for the driver’s well-being. (5:09pm)
  • A Fairmeadow Road mother reported her son found some type of firearm in the bushes near their home. (6:45pm)
  • Employee of the Dunkin Donuts on Middlesex Avenue reported a couple threatened her, demanded a refund, and claimed they would come back and open the drawer.  Police found suspects on North Street, who acknowledged a disagreement did occur and they were given a refund.  Police brought the couple back to the store, spoke with the employees, advised them of their rights, and employees will speak to management company tomorrow morning. (7:32pm)
  • A caller reported he pulled into Market Basket parking lot to meet up with a friend and 8-10 men surrounded his car and attempted to vandalize it.  Police sent all cars on their way. (9:38pm)
