WILMINGTON, MA — 30 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Sunday, June 7. Here are SEVEN highlights:
- A Brentwood Avenue caller reported he found a wallet and some other items in his shed. He believed someone may be living in there. Police retrieved the wallet and a small amount of a Class A drug. (1:12am)
- A metal trash barrel was thrown into Silver Lake, near the fishing pier. An entry was made and DPW was notified. (6:13am)
- A walk signal in front of Rite Aid on Main Street became obstructed by a tree limb. Massachusetts Highway was notified. (9:47am)
- An Oxford Road resident reported her neighbor’s dogs were loose and attacked her dog. No injuries were caused, but she requested to speak with the Animal Control Officer. (11:19am)
- A caller reported personal drawings, plastic jewelry and toys were missing from a grave site on Cypress Street within Wildwood Cemetery. (12:33pm)
- A resident on Marion Street requested extra patrols because of cars and motorcycles speeding up and down the road. (7:38pm)
- Woburn Police was looking for a vehicle with a female operator who stole purse out of an unlocked vehicle in their city. Woburn Police stopped the vehicle in front of the U-Haul building in Wilmington. Wilmington Police arrived on scene. Driver claimed to mistakenly took the purse because it was next to a “free” sign at a yard sale. (8:09pm)
