Two burgers with ties to Wilmington are vying for supremacy in the Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger.
The Brew Burger from Red Heat Tavern in Wilmington is a sausage-blended burger with beer, cheese, tavern mustard, mesquite onions and peppers on a pretzel bun. It was created by Chef Alan Frati.
The Sophie from the Boston Burger Company is a certified angus beef burger topped with prosciutto, goat cheese, crushed candied walnuts, fig jam, arugula (tossed in alight lemon vinaigrette) and balsamic glaze. It was created by Chef Paul Malvone of Wilmington.
Vote daily (every 24 hours) HERE until July 6 to ensure these two burgers make it to the live burger competition on August 12 at Cruiseport Boston. Voters will be eligible to win tickets to the event.
