WILMINGTON, MA — Now in its 5th season, the Wilmington Farmers Market will be open from 10am to 1pm every Sunday, from June 13 to October 11. The Market, located on the Swain Green, across from the Town Common, at 140 Middlesex Avenue, is run entirely by volunteers.
The Wilmington Farmers Market Association is seeking some fresh blood to assist them in opening and closing the market each Sunday this summer.
Volunteer opportunities with the Market include:
- Helping open the market with the unloading of the trailer and setting up canopies & tables (9am-10am)
- Helping close the market with the breaking down of canopies & tables and the loading of the trailer (1pm-2pm)
Those interested in donating an hour of their time on one Sunday morning — or multiple Sunday mornings — this summer can sign up for a volunteer shift HERE.
High school students are welcome to volunteer. Hours helping the Market will count towards Wilmington High School’s volunteerism requirement.
