POLICE LOG for 5/12: Complaints Of Speeding During Student Drop Off At Boutwell, Mustang vs. Pole

WILMINGTON, MA — 60 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log last Tuesday, May 12:

Here are SEVEN highlights:

  • A caller reported cars were “speeding down” the roadway during drop off hours at the Boutwell. Police notified the safety officer. (8:00am)
  • An Edwards Road caller reported someone dumped trash on her back porch.  Police assisted with the cleanup. (8:04am)
  • A Mozart Avenue resident reported a hubcap was stolen from his 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. (11:18am)
  • A minor two-car accident occurred at Eames Street and Woburn Street between a 2004 Chevy Impala and a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. No injuries reported. Police assisted with paperwork. (4:25pm)
  • A minor two-car accident occurred in the vicinity of Sonic on Main Street between a 2011 Hyundi Sonata and a 2015 Ford Mustang. No injuries reported. Police assisted with paperwork. (4:34pm)
  • A caller reported seeing a black 1989 Ford Mustang strike a telephone pole on Walnut Street. Police investigated and located the vehicle, which struck the pole due to a mechanical failure. The pole did not appear to be damaged, but Reading Municipal Light was contacted. (4:56pm)
  • An erratic operator in a red 2003 Toyota Tundra was reported “all over the road” on 93 and exited onto Route 62 and then onto Jefferson Place. Police located driver, who is awaiting AAA and getting the car towed. (5:54pm)
