POLICE LOG for 5/6: 6-Month-Old Accidentally Locked In Car; Stolen Copper; Dog Attack

WILMINGTON, MA — 56 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log last Wednesday, May 6.

Here are SEVEN highlights:

  • Police arrested Michael Lena (42, Wilmington) for operating a vehicle with a revoked license from a past OUI. (1:38am)
  • Caller from Heffron Materials on Salem Street reported that three of their shed doors had been kicked in overnight.  Nothing appeared to be missing, however. (7:03am)
  • A larceny involving approximately 1,500 lbs. of copper was reported from Bevento Sand & Stone on Salem Street.  (9:02am)
  • A resident reported being bit by a dog in the neighborhood of Woodland Road around 2:15pm.  Resident was bit on the right lower leg.  Dog will be quarantined.  Dog owner will provided vaccinations paperwork. (2:39pm)
  • Caller reported kids were throwing rocks at people outside the Shawsheen School.  Police spoke with two kids and sent them on their way. (4:08pm)
  • A driver accidentally locked themselves out of their jeep with a 6-month-old baby inside.  Passenger side front door window is broken to gain access to vehicle. (4:39pm)
  • A green 2001 Ford Explorer and grey 2011 Toyota Camry involved in a minor car accident at Sonny’s Mobile on the Run on Lowell Street. No injuries reported. (9:22pm)
