WILMINGTON, MA — The Women’s Club of St. Thomas recently announced it will offer two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plans for further their education. Applicants must be registered parishioners of St. Thomas. Applications are available in the sacristy after mass and must be returned to the market box by the noon mass on Sunday, May 24. Applicants will be selected on Tuesday, May 26 and presented with their scholarships at the noon mass on Sunday, May 31.
At their next meeting on Tuesday, May 11 at 7pm, the Women’s Club will be making blankets for Project Linus. The blankets will be distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies and “anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.” Participants are asked to bring 1.5 yards of fleece and sharp scissors.
