WILMINGTON, MA — Do you have a child who will play in the Wilmington High School Marching Band next year? Don’t miss this important band camp announcement from the Band’s website:
Once again, the Wilmington Public Schools Performing Arts Department will sponsor a summer band camp at Camp Nokomis on Bear Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith, New Hampshire. Camp participation provides a solid foundation for all high school band activities.
Dates for this year’s camp will be Sunday Aug 23-Thursday, Aug 27. Although it may seem early to be thinking about August, Camp Nokomis requires a non-refundable deposit by June 1 to hold our reservation. This year’s rates are $160.00 per person for use of all facilities and food service. The cost of transportation and Pride T-shirt is $50 per person. This brings the total cost to $210 per person for our stay at Camp Nokomis.
As you may know, our camp experiences over the past thirty seven years have been an overwhelming success. The response and cooperation of the students, chaperones and instructors make our four-day stay a unique and enjoyable educational-cultural learning experience.
We are, of course, looking for adult chaperones for our camp stay and hope that many of you will consider a “vacation” with the Wilmington Wildcat Marching Band. Camp Nokomis is a truly beautiful camp area.
First year Chaperone cost for room and board is $160. Room and board for returning chaperones (second year or more) is paid by the Band Parents Association.
General information about Camp Nokomis is available here on our website, but we would be happy to answer any additional questions you might have regarding the camp or our program.
Please fill out the Camp Registration form online no later than April 17, 2015
