Wilmington Rotary Club Announces $25,000 2015 Scholarship Program

WILMINGTON, MA – The Wilmington Rotary Club announced its intention to distribute $25,000 in scholarship money to Wilmington residents who are graduating from high school with the Class of 2015.  These grants consist of one $4,000 scholarship, three $3,000 scholarships; two $2,000 scholarships; and three $1,000 scholarships.

In addition, this year, a $2,000 scholarship will be awarded by the Peterson Family Scholarship Fund in memory of Clarie M. Peterson and Herbert W. Peterson, Jr.  A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by the Weiner Family in memory of Sylvia Weiner, as well as a $1,000 scholarship in memory of Joyce K. Brisbois, and a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by Jack Cushing in memory this father, Lawrence H. Cushing, Sr.  These scholarships are open to all Wilmington residents regardless of high school attended.

Over the past twenty-two years, the Wilmington Rotary Club has distributed over $500,000 in scholarship funds to Wilmington residents, and is extremely proud to continue this tradition in 2015.

Applications for these scholarships may be obtained at the Guidance Department ad Wilmington High School, or by calling Robert G. Peterson, Esq. at 978-658-6896.  The deadline for submitting applications for these scholarships is Friday, April 24, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.  No late applications will be accepted.
