WILMINGTON, MA – Are you the parent of a child who has dyslexia?
On Monday, March 30 at 7pm in the Wilmington High Large Instruction Room (159 Church Street), a presenter from the Massachusetts branch of the International Dyslexia Association will conduct a workshop for parents and teachers.
According to the event flyer, this “Understanding Dyslexia” workshop provides families with a better understanding of: (1) What is dyslexia?; (2) What are common myths about dyslexia?; (3) What are early warning signs?; (4) What are characteristics of good intervention for dyslexia?; and (5) Where can I obtain more information about dyslexia?
The workshop, which does not require any sort of registration, is sponsored by the Wilmington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC). The Wilmington SEPAC provides education and support to parents, school personnel and the broader community on special education issues and services. Learn more about the group HERE.
