MEREDITH, NH — John Thomas Kucinski was welcomed into our world on October 13th 1948 in Boston MA by his parents John and Evelyn (Estella) Kucinski. He was peacefully called back to heaven on the morning of June 24th 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
John, lovingly known as Jack, Jackie and Grampy, was a selfless man who always did his best to help others. He fought for his country, community and family.
Jack was a graduate of Wilmington, MA High School in 1969. Shortly after in 1970 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a firefighter in many cities and towns, but he was most proud of his service in the Redding, MA fire department. He was a master custom home builder and “Jack” of all trades, an advocate for all insects and animals and a loyal friend to many.
He loved spending time with his family and cats. His grandchildren were his greatest source of pride and joy. He was a storyteller and often shared his life experiences, accomplishments and lessons with almost everyone he met. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling, surfing, and kayaking.
Jack is survived by his wife Elaine Kucinski of Meredith, NH, daughter Keri and her husband Lucas Quinn of Moultonborough, NH, daughter Falon Matthews of Acton, ME, step-son Casey Matthews of Milton, NH, mother Evelyn Kucinski of Wilmington MA, sisters Evelyn (Little) Kucinski Holt of Wilmington MA, Cheryl Baker and her husband Cliff of North Andover MA, brother Edward Kucinski and Lawrence Demers of Bradenton FL, six beloved grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He is predeceased by his father John Kucinski and his brother Keith Kucinski. May we find comfort in knowing that they were there to welcome him home in the next chapter of his eternal life.
