5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Friday, June 21, 2024: Wilmington Library To Hold Big Wheels Event

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Friday, June 21, 2024:

• The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following activities: Big Wheels (10am-noon); Needleworkers (10am-noon); and Kids N Harmony (3pm-4pm).
• REMINDER: The DPW will be giving away a child’s ride-on truck at 11:30am during the Big Wheels event.
• The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding the following activities: Zumba (9am); Sewing (9:30am); Chair Yoga (12:30pm); Wood Carving (1pm); and Poker (1pm). Learn more HERE.
• Town Beach at Silver Lake is open from 10am to 6pm. Wilmington residents, with proof of residency, may use the beach at no charge. Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up). Learn more HERE.
• TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
